Umayyad Dinar (Minted in 122 AH) – Reign of Hisham ibn Abd al-Malik

This gold dinar appeared in 122 AH, seventeen years after Hisham ibn Abd al-Malik became caliph. Since the reform of 77 AH, Umayyad gold had settled on the declaration of faith and the date of minting, which give the dinar its identity. It is one of the dinars of a reign that ran until 125 AH.
