Umayyad Dinar (Minted in 129 AH) – Reign of Marwan ibn Muhammad
<p>The banners of the Abbasid movement were raised in Khurasan in 129 AH, the year this gold dinar was struck under Marwan ibn Muhammad. The dinar kept the format set by Abd al-Malik ibn Marwan's reform of 77 AH, fifty-two years earlier. The coin dates to three years before the fall of the state.</p>
