Umayyad Dirham (Minted in Ifriqiya, 115 AH) – Reign of Hisham ibn Abd al-Malik

Ifriqiya served as the rear base from which campaigns to Al-Andalus and France were supplied, so any disruption on the northern front directly affected its mints and resources.

Struck in 115 AH, after the setback at Tours, this dirham shows the province continuing as a main supply line despite the difficult circumstances.
