The first volume of the series Sylloge of Islamic Coins in the Ashmolean, the museum of the University of Oxford. It is devoted to the pre-reform coinage of early Islam, including the Arab-Sasanian and Arab-Byzantine coins struck before the Arabization of Abd al-Malik ibn Marwan, with an illustrated scholarly description of the pieces in the collection.
