The first part of a die corpus of early Abbasid dinars and the gold issues contemporary with them, covering the period from the rise of the Abbasid state in 132 AH to 169 AH. It documents the dies and the links between them, in support of the study of mints and of the sequence of issues at the start of the Abbasid era.
