Mu'jam al-Ansab wa al-Usar al-Hakima fi al-Tarikh al-Islami (Dictionary of Genealogies and Ruling Dynasties in Islamic History)
A reference dictionary compiled by the Austrian orientalist Eduard von Zambaur. It arranges the ruling families and states of the Islamic world from early Islam onward, and for each state gives its rulers, the dates of their reigns and their genealogies in tables. This makes it an essential tool for establishing the sequence of rulers and for dating coins.
