Atlas al-Futuhat al-Islamiyya (Atlas of the Islamic Conquests)

An illustrated history of the Islamic conquests in the era of the Rightly Guided Caliphs, combining historical narrative with maps, pictures, drawings and tables. It traces the routes of the Muslim armies and the main battles, sites and regions the conquests reached, with a focus on the eastern and western fronts: the struggle with the Sasanian state in Iraq, Persia and the neighboring regions, and the confrontations with the Byzantine state in Syria and Egypt. The atlas sets out the events in a visual form that makes their geographical and chronological sequence easy to follow.
